San Diego is the 2nd largest city of California ,
the 8th largest city of the USA and the xxth largest city of the World . The city is located on the Pacific Ocean in the very South of California bordering Tijuana, Mexico. San Diego has a mild Mediterranean climate with an annual mean temperature of 18°C. The east of the city becomes moutainous  The name San Diego comes from a flagship called "San Diego or St Didacus" with which Sabastian Vizcaino arrived in November 1602. St Didacus is a Spanish Catholic Saint whose name was used to name the area be the Spanish. During the times of the Gold Rush in 1850, San Diego was incorporated as a city and designated to become the seat of the new San Diego County. Today San Diego lives from Tourism, Ship Building, Computer Science, Electronics, Biotechnology and Agriculture. |
